NNS ADix - How to...Rename Objects

This topic describes how to rename objects with NNS ADix.

In order to rename Active Directory objects with NNS ADix perform the following steps::

• Export all objects you ant to rename (select the attribute 'cn' for export)
• Open the export file with an editor and edit the values for the attribute 'cn'.
  Do not change the attribute 'path'! This will be done automatically at the time the file is imported.
• Save the changes made to the import file
• Import the file

Note:
    In order to rename objects of type 'organizational unit' do not export and edit the attribute 'cn'.
    Instead use the attribute 'ou' to rename organizational unit objects.
