This topic describes how to search for Active Directory objects
using a GUID.
If you need to search for a GUID, you must submit
the GUID you are searching for in
a special form:
\37\16\E3\96\F3\59\D0\11\AD\1F\00\AA\00\A2\19\AA
As you do not always have the GUID in the form mentioned above, you have to convert the GUID first.
Example:
GUID to convert:
{96E31637-59F3-11D0-AD1F-00AA00A219AA}
GUID converted:
\37\16\E3\96\F3\59\D0\11\AD\1F\00\AA\00\A2\19\AA
Note:
If you are
searching for GUIDs, you can use placeholders.
Example: objectGUID=\37\16\E3\96\F3\59\D0\11\AD\1F\00\AA\00*
