This topic describes how to search for Active Directory objects
using a SID.
If you need to search for a SID, you must submit
the SID you are searching for in
a special form:
\01\02\00\00\00\00\00\05\20\00\00\00\20\02\00\00\00\00\00\00\00\00\00\00\03\00\04\00
As you do not always have the SID in the form mentioned above, you have to convert the
SID first.
Example:
SID to convert:
S-1-5-32-544
SID converted:
\01\02\00\00\00\00\00\05\20\00\00\00\20\02\00\00\00\00\00\00\00\00\00\00\03\00\04\00
Note:
If you are
searching for SIDs, you can use placeholders.
Example: objectSID=\01\02\00\00\00\00\00\05\20\00\00\00\20\02*
